Rise ("the App") is developed and maintained by Álvaro Souza. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how the app handles your data.

Information We Collect
Information you provide. If you join our waitlist or beta program through our website, we collect your email address. This is the only personal information we request.
Information stored on your device only. The following data is created and stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Your selected goals and preferences
- Quotes you have liked or saved
- Your daily notification time preference
- Your chosen app theme (light or dark)
Information collected automatically. We may receive aggregated, anonymised usage statistics via Apple's App Store Connect Analytics. This data does not include any personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify you.
How We Use Your Information
Your email address is used solely to notify you when the beta or full app becomes available. We will not send marketing emails, newsletters, or share your email with any third parties.
On-device data is used exclusively to personalise your in-app experience — to curate your quote feed, power your home screen widget, and maintain your saved quotes. This data never leaves your device.
Third-Party Services
Apple App Store — Handles app distribution and may collect crash and performance reports according to Apple's own Privacy Policy. We do not control this data.
Website hosting — Our landing page is hosted on Netlify. When you submit your email through our waitlist form, it is processed by our email service provider and stored securely.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, social media trackers, or data brokers.
Data Retention
Your email address is retained until the beta programme concludes, you request its removal, or you unsubscribe. On-device data persists until you delete the app from your device.
Your Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access a copy of your data
- Right to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restrict or object to processing
- Right to data portability

Children's Privacy
Rise is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their email, please contact us immediately and we will remove it.
Security
We implement industry-standard practices to protect your email address from unauthorised access or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
